SÖĞÜT GOLD MINE PUBLIC PARTICIPATION MEETING WAS HELD

A Public Participation Meeting was held by Gübretaş Maden Yatırımları A.Ş. in Söğüt District Korudanlık and Akbaştepe locality, in accordance with Article 9 of the Environmental Impact Assessment regulation, regarding the Söğüt Gold Mine Capacity Expansion planned to be realized.

Many citizens from Kızılsaray, Hayriye, Savcıbey, Gündüzbey, Dudaş, Sırhoca, Çaltı and surrounding villages, from Söğüt District and Bilecik province attended the meeting held in the garden of a restaurant in Söğüt District. Mustafa BUDAK, Bilecik Provincial Director of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, chaired the meeting, which was held by observing the social distance rules due to the coronavirus epidemic. At the meeting, company officials made a presentation introducing the project. After the presentation, the opinions and suggestions of the participants were received. After the meeting, examinations were made at the project site with the authorities of the institution.
