Our company Gübretaş Maden Yatırımları A.Ş. whose immovable properties belonging to third parties located in the mining operation license area numbered 82050 within the borders of Söğüt district of Bilecik province, where the Söğüt Gold Mine Project is located, were expropriated by the Presidential Decree numbered 4626 dated October 16, 2021.

by Gübretaş to KAP within the scope of our Company's expropriation decision is as follows:

“Our subsidiary Gübretaş Maden Yatırımları A.Ş. The Söğüt gold mine, which will provide one of the most important contributions to our country's gold production target and make a positive contribution to closing the foreign trade deficit in the country's economy, will be acquired by third parties in the mining operation license area numbered 82050 within the borders of Bilecik Province, Söğüt District, where the Söğüt Gold Mine Project is located. An application was made to the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs on 25.03.2021 for urgent expropriation in order to be immediately transferred to the production phase and brought into the national economy.

With the Presidential Decree dated 16.10.2021 and numbered 4626, it was decided to urgently expropriate the immovable properties annexed to the decision, which are within the borders of the mining license area in question and needed for gold + silver ore production, by the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs, in accordance with Article 27 of the Expropriation Law No. 2942. and this decision was published in the official gazette dated 17.10.2021 and numbered 31631.
