Gübretaş Maden Yatırımları A.Ş., located within the borders of Sırhoca Village in Söğüt district of Bilecik province. Gold production started at Söğüt Gold Mine . Working with the aim of contributing to the country's economy as a subsidiary of Turkey's most established organizations, Türkiye Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri, Gübretaş Maden Yatırımları A.Ş. Project investment studies at Söğüt Gold Mine started at the beginning of 2021, and the first stage facility investment was completed by the end of 2022. The Phase 1 Facility opening of Söğüt Gold Mine, one of the important and large gold deposits of our country, was held on Friday, January 27, 2023, with the participation of President Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN.

“WHEN SÖĞÜT GOLD MINE IS OPERATED AT FULL CAPACITY, IT WILL BE ONE OF THE TOP THREE MINE WITH THE MOST GOLD PRODUCTION IN OUR COUNTRY”

Pointing out that 70 million dollars of investment was made within the scope of the works carried out in the mining area, President Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN said, “We accelerated the work to bring the detected gold to the Turkish economy as soon as possible. As we promised before, the facility has been made ready for the first gold casting. This facility will initially operate with a capacity to produce up to 2.5 tons of gold annually. We plan to complete the investments of the remaining two phases within three years. Thus, we will increase the annual production amount to approximately 6.5 tons. "When Söğüt Gold Mine becomes operational at full capacity, it will be one of the top three mines producing the most gold in our country." said.

GREAT CONTRIBUTION TO GOLD PRODUCTION

In addition to Gübretaş Maden Yatırımları A.Ş’s contributions to the country's economy through employment and production within the scope of its activities, it will also provide a significant increase in gold production in our country. Regarding the gold deposit in the Söğüt Gold Mine area, resource and reserve figures were reported according to the UMREK (National Mineral Resources and Reserve Reporting Commission) Code used in our country in December 2020. According to this reporting, 3.5 million ounces (109 tons) of gold resources and 1.92 million ounces (60 tons) of gold reserves were reported. It is planned to increase this resource figure with the research and development studies to be carried out.
