As we too, With the awareness of the value our female employees add to the workforce and our corporate culture, we make March 8 International Women's Day just a day of celebration. but also to make women's labor visible.
With this understanding, within the scope of March 8, 2025 International Women's Day, we implemented a valuable social and artistic project with the theme "If a Woman's Hand is Worth the Land". In this special event hosted by Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, female employees of Gübretaş Maden had a unique experience by meeting the soil with the universal language of art.
Women's Labor at the Meeting Point of Art and Land
The art of ceramics, an ancient craft, was at the center of the event. Our female employees left their own handprints on the soil by participating in workshops under the guidance of expert academics. This process is not just an art production; It symbolically revealed women's impactful presence, shaping power and productive touch.
"Soil", the common ground of mining and ceramics, formed both the material and spiritual axis of this activity. The value extracted from the depths of the soil, which is the main field of activity of our institution, and the relationship of art with nature, combined in this project to create a strong expression.
The Place of Women in Our Corporate Culture
As Gübretaş Maden, we see our female employees not only as professionals, but also as indispensable components of our corporate culture with their creativity, perspectives and social contributions. With projects that support their voices and efforts, we increase internal motivation and get one step closer to our goal of creating an inclusive and egalitarian work environment.
A Contribution Rooted in Local Collaboration
The fact that the event was held in cooperation with Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, a respected academic institution located in our area of activity, also increased the local added value of the project. Practical workshops carried out under the guidance of academics not only brought our employees closer to art, but also served as a good example of university-industry cooperation.
