As part of the National Afforestation Day, we participated in the sapling planting event in order to revitalize the areas destroyed after the forest fires in Bilecik.

In line with this understanding, we participated in the sapling planting event organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Bilecik Governorship and General Directorate of Forestry, within the scope of 11 November National Afforestation Day.

At the event held in Osmaneli Selimiye Village; Bilecik Governor Faik Oktay Sözer, Bilecik Deputy Mayor Güven Sönmez, Söğüt District Governor Murat Yayabaşı and Söğüt District Agriculture and Forestry Director Seda Kunt were also present. The event was also attended by Bilecik Provincial Gendarmerie Command, Bilecik Police Department, Red Crescent, Eğitim Sen representatives and Gübretaş Maden Yatırımları A.Ş. team joined.

As part of the National Afforestation Day, we donated 2,500 saplings on behalf of our employees and their families to revitalize the forest areas damaged by the fires in Bilecik in recent months. The saplings will be placed in order to contribute to the protection of nature and ecological balance and will create living spaces that will breathe life into the future.

As Gübretaş Maden, we continue to add value to the environment, region, society and economy in line with our responsible mining approach. The event not only increased the environmental awareness of our employees, but also offered the opportunity to create permanent awareness for society and natural life.
