As Gübretaş Mining Investments, we see occupational health and safety not only as a legal requirement or an area of ​​corporate responsibility, but also as the most concrete indicator of our respect for human life and a fundamental value. We adopt this approach in all our activities and prioritize a safe working culture both in our in-house practices and in our social contribution projects.

From this perspective, we organized a special training program for the students of 700. Yıl Anatolian High School in Söğüt district, in order to raise occupational health and safety awareness in young individuals, the employees of the future, at an early age.

Training Calendar and Scope

The trainings were planned for different grade levels on two separate days:

      • 9th and 10th grade students on March 21, 2025,
      • On March 25, 2025, we met with 11th and 12th grade students.

Within the scope of the program, information was provided on vital issues such as the basic principles of occupational health and safety, risk awareness, the importance of personal protective equipment, and how to act in emergency situations. Active participation of students was encouraged by supporting trainings with interactive presentations and sample applications.

Purpose: To Provide Not Just Information, but a Culture

Our aim is not only to ensure that students acquire basic knowledge of the subject; At the same time, to create awareness that will transform this awareness into behavior. For this reason, we consider occupational health and safety as a "culture" and believe that instilling this culture at a young age will create long-term effects.

Education-Focused Approach to Social Responsibility

As Gübretaş Maden, we aim to create a sustainable impact not only economically but also with social and cultural contributions in the regions we operate. Such studies, which we carry out in cooperation with local schools, public institutions and non-governmental organizations, constitute the building blocks of local and social development.

This training program, in addition to spreading occupational health and safety awareness, allowed us to establish direct contact with young people and develop a common awareness for a safe future.
