ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
Gübretaş Maden Yatırımları A.Ş. undertakes to carry out its activities in a way that will minimize its impact on the environment and ensure the responsible management and sustainability of natural resources. Gübretaş Maden Yatırımları A.Ş. with the belief that the Environmental Management System, which is valid for managing and measuring its environmental performance, should be constantly improved, it aims to make all its employees and units a practitioner of this system. It undertakes to take the following steps in order to fulfill these goals:
- Gübretaş Maden Yatırımları A.Ş. an Environmental Policy will be created and announced to all stakeholders within the scope of their projects through different communication channels.
- A regulatory risk management and compliance framework will be established and maintained for the ongoing identification of environmental issues/hazards and the assessment of associated risks.
- Compliance with national and international laws and regulations and other requirements related to the environmental management system will be continuously checked. Adequate resources (human resources, technical and financial resources) will be provided to ensure compliance.
- It will be aimed to continuously improve the Environmental Management System and to achieve the desired environmental results by establishing a framework for the determination, implementation and review of environmental goals and objectives individually and on a departmental basis.
- It will be ensured that all personnel, including the contractor and visitors, have the appropriate training and competence to carry out their activities in accordance with the environmental requirements of their roles, and that these people are informed about the expectations and requirements of Gübretaş Maden Yatırımları A.Ş.
- A management system will be established to establish a positive bilateral communication and consultation process with all stakeholders regarding environmental issues. As a result, a transparent and reliable communication will be established with all stakeholders and an environment for mutual consultation on environmental issues will be created. In this context, Gübretaş Maden Yatırımları A.Ş. It is aimed that the stakeholders contribute to the management measures.
- Gübretaş Maden Yatırımları A.Ş. As a part of the information and records management system, the continuity of environmental data, records and documents will be ensured by establishing a framework for the identification, preservation, control and disposal of all documents.
- Possible effects to be determined as a result of environmental risk analysis; The procedures to be created in detail under the Environmental Management Plan will be implemented by the relevant stakeholders in the field and will be brought under control.
- In order to ensure minimize the environmental impact, adequate resources (human, technical and financial resources) will be provided to identify environmental emergencies and crisis situations for each project, to be prepared for them and to ensure the continuity of the capacity to respond accordingly
- Each Contractor and/or supplier complies with the requirements of laws, regulations and Gübretaş Maden Yatırımları A.Ş. All necessary control measures will be implemented in order to comply with the Environmental Management Plan and related procedures.
- It will be ensured that all environmental incidents, including near-miss cases, are reported, investigated and root cause analyzes are made, and a plan, procedure and related reporting tools will be developed to take effective corrective/preventive actions as quickly as possible and to analyze them afterwards. In this context, it is aimed to prevent the recurrence of these reported environmental events.
- To detect trends in environmental parameters, measure progress and evaluate compliance; It is aimed to review the entire system at regular intervals by establishing procedures to monitor, audit and review the environmental performance, environmental management system and measurement tools used.
